He had a young assistant helping him who didn’t know how to read or write, so my uncle taught him how to do both. Every year, until my uncle passed away, this assistant would write him letters, wishing him happy birthday, happy holiday, happy new year … My uncle told me that when we have knowledge that can help another person, it is our RESPONSIBILITY to TEACH that person what we know. Teaching is a gift. Sharing our knowledge is a gift. Those gifts, when shared, will return to you ten-fold. “Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves.” ― J.M.
